Andrea Goodridge, trading as Ad Florem, respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how I collect, use, store, and protect your information when you interact with my website, purchase products, sign up for newsletters, or use my services. I comply with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. The data controller is Andrea Goodridge, based in England.

This policy applies to all services provided by Andrea Goodridge / Ad Florem, including:

  • Physical and digital art sales
  • Book sales
  • Library downloads and digital products
  • 1:1 sessions and coaching programmes
  • Gatherings and workshops
  • Shine Softly newsletters and marketing emails
  • Website interactions, including cookies and analytics
  • Bookings via Calendly

2. Personal Data I Collect

  • Website Visitors: IP address, browser type, referring pages, date/time, clickstream data (automatically collected via cookies and analytics)
  • Newsletter Subscribers (Shine Softly): Name and email address. Consent to receive marketing and communications
  • Purchasers (Art, Books, Digital Products): Name, billing & shipping address, email. Payment information is processed securely by Stripe or PayPal. I do not store credit card details.
  • People Working With Me (1:1 Sessions, Programmes, Gatherings): Name, email, phone number (if provided). Any documents shared with me during our work together, such as reflection tools or personal documents, are held temporarily for the duration of our working relationship and securely shredded afterwards. Session notes are the client’s responsibility.
  • Calendly Bookings: Name, email address, and meeting details provided when booking a session or call. Payment information is processed securely by Stripe or PayPal. I do not store credit card details.

3. How I Use Your Data

I process your personal data for:

  • Fulfilling orders, providing services, and delivering products or materials
  • Sending newsletters, promotional emails, and updates about workshops, products, or events
  • Analysing website traffic and improving my services
  • Complying with legal obligations

I do not sell your personal information.

4. Marketing & Emails

  • You will receive emails if you sign up for Shine Softly or purchase products or services. Emails include updates, offers, gatherings, and information about my work. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in emails.

5. Cookies & Analytics

  • I use cookies for functionality, analytics, and marketing
  • You can manage cookie preferences in your browser settings
  • I use Google Analytics to understand website traffic and improve my services

6. Data Retention

  • Personal data (including direct and indirect identifiers, such as names, job titles, and other identifiable details) is retained for a maximum of three years from the date of creation
  • Client documents shared during our working relationship are shredded securely when the work ends
  • Financial records are retained for the statutory period of six years in the UK
  • You may request deletion of your personal data at any time

7. Security of Your Data

  • Personal data is stored securely on my devices and email accounts
  • Access is restricted to the data controller
  • I implement technical and organisational measures to prevent unauthorised access or breaches

8. Subject Access Requests (SARs) & Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Request deletion (with the exception of data I must legally retain)
  • Withdraw consent for processing where applicable
  • Object to processing for marketing or research purposes

9. Third Party Platforms

When you book, purchase, or subscribe, your data is collected and stored directly by the relevant third party platform:

  • Kit – stores newsletter subscriber data and manages Shine Softly emails
  • Calendly – stores booking data including name, email, and meeting details
  • Stripe and PayPal – process payments securely. I do not store card details
  • Google Analytics – collects anonymous website usage data

I do not sell your personal information or pass it to any other third parties.

10. Children’s Privacy

  • My services are not directed at children under 18
  • I do not knowingly collect personal information from children

11. Changes to This Policy

  • Updates will be posted on this page with the “Last Updated” date
  • Where appropriate, significant changes will be communicated by email
