Work With Andrea

I’m DONE.

That’s the thought you keep having.

Now listen to your body. That sensation, that anxious feeling. That’s the moment you fully commit to yourself.

This is where we work together.

I work with individuals and organisations. The truth underneath is the same, just the process that differs.

Here for yourself? Keep reading.

Where I Come From

I grew up in a Northern, working-class family. Straight-talking, hardworking, honest, and kind. We weren’t the ones to make a fuss. We just did what needed to be done. We shone softly, in our own way.

I remember back in the 70s as a kid, I was free. Running down the donkey steps to play hide-and-seek in the woods, spending hours down by the brook, carving shapes into sand blocks. Doing things my way without a second thought.

That Northern spirit taught me early on that there’s no one right way. Just your way.

Then I got older. And slowly, like everyone else, I started fitting. I fell into the ‘slow burn of conformity,’ and stopped choosing.

Layer by layer, I adjusted. Said yes when I meant no. Met expectations I hadn’t chosen.

My Gran changed everything. Sitting in her garden in the mid-90s, she turned to me and asked one question that cut straight through.

It sent me on a serious soul-searching mission. And that’s when I realised if I could stop hiding and remember who I really am, I could help others do the same.

Since then, I’ve worked with thousands of people from all walks of life. Different roles. Different sectors. Same pattern. They’ve learned to perform a version of themselves that keeps everything running.

But underneath? Something doesn’t sit right. And most of the time, they don’t even realise they’re doing it.

That’s where I work. I pay attention to where things go quiet. To the moments you edit yourself mid-sentence. I don’t rush those moments. I sit with them, so you can hear them, feel them.

I sense the energy and emotions beneath the surface. I feel what you’re experiencing before you’re even aware of it yourself. I catch the moments you slip into conformity, dim your light, or say words that don’t match your energy …and I call out the hiding. Every time.

I make sense of what feels chaotic. The emotions you can’t name. The confusion about who you’ve become. And I hold up a mirror so you can remember who you already are. Not who you think you should become, like a self-improvement project.

As my Dad used to say, “She knows her stuff.” Mostly because he didn’t know what to call it.

I call it Soulful Challenge.

I hold up a mirror. And I don’t let you look away.

Hide & Seek Work

Picture a Russian doll. That’s you.

Over the years, you’ve covered yourself in layers. To conform, fit in, please people, protect yourself. Layer upon layer upon layer. Thinking it’s the normal thing to do.

But in the process, you’ve lost your realness. I know because I did it too.

You’re playing hide and seek with the ‘real you,’ and you’re way too good at hiding.

My Hide and Seek Work is about peeling back those layers. Finding the ‘real you’ who’s been there all along underneath it all. Hiding under all the roles, expectations, and noise. Trying to get your attention.

Not becoming.
Remembering.

Hide & Seek Session – where we begin. £250

It’s not a chat about whether to work together. It’s the start of the real work, so you experience the work in our first conversation, rather than skirting around the edges.

45 minutes to get to where you’ve been hiding.

Available once as your entry into the work. If life has moved you to a new starting point, it’s where we start again. Some people leave with what they needed and go on their way. Others realise they’re ready to go deep. Or deeper still.

Hide & Seek Month. You’ve seen it. Now you work with it

One month. Two sessions. Plus two Mini Check-Ins. 15 minutes each, for the moments that catch you off guard before you talk yourself out of what you saw. This is continuing from where the Hide & Seek Session left you. Working with the one thing you saw, in real time, as life happens around it. My book included. Only available after a Hide & Seek Session.

The Hide & Seek Programme

This is the deeper work. We go to what’s actually there …again …and again.

We meet regularly over a minimum of four months. You talk. I listen. Then I hold up the mirror, and sometimes, as one of my clients described, “I whack you over the head with it.”

I notice the moments you slip into conformity, say words that don’t match your energy, or answer a question I didn’t ask. I name what I see. In plain language. No hiding.

But the real work doesn’t happen in our conversations. It happens in between. When you catch yourself in the moment. When you ask “really?” When you make a different choice. When you arrive somewhere and just sit, present, without performing.

Over time, something settles. The internal noise quietens. The overthinking, the pre-playing, and the re-playing of every conversation drops. And in that quiet, something emerges. You. You stop performing and start remembering.

“I feel I stand straighter.” Gael Robinson, Assistant Headteacher, UK.

You can begin the programme directly, or after a Hide & Seek Session or Month. It’s when you’re ready to go deeper still.

Not quite ready for Hide & Seek Work …yet?

The Offload might be where you start.

Your Choice

My Dad wasn’t one for long speeches, but when he spoke, you listened.

“It’s either important, or it’s not. You choose.”

No fluff. No excuses. Just straight to the point.

Because the people in your life don’t need the ‘pretend you.’ They need the ‘real you.’ The one that’s still there, stubborn as ever. Trying to get your attention.
The only question is whether you’re going to listen, and do something about it.

For My Mum and Dad

My Mum and Dad always found it hard to explain what I actually did. So they’d proudly tell people who I worked with, which awards I’d won, or where I’d been featured.

It was their way of doing what they used to do at home, proudly displaying my music certificates and trophies in the front room.

This part’s for them.

A glimpse of some of the organisations I’ve partnered with over 25 years. I’ve also supported people and teams from the UK’s largest independent Hospital Group, Professional Football Clubs, Academic Institutions, and many NHS Trusts and NHS National Bodies. I’ve worked across four continents, across many sectors. One thing in common. They’d all stopped being themselves.

Awards. Because Dad would have told everyone.

Coach of the Year (North West England). Recognised by The Influential Businesswoman Awards.

Leadership Coach, and Leadership Development Consultancy of the Year. Recognised multiple times nationally and globally by SME Northern Enterprise Awards, Education and Training Awards, M&A Global 100 Awards.

Global 100 Women in Leadership. Empowerment Catalyst 2024. “Your unique approach, emphasis on self-leadership, and passion for helping individuals unlock their full potential set you apart.”

Top 15 Coaches in Manchester. Top 10 Self Leadership Blogs globally.

My writing has reached people around the world. My Mum would have cut these out and kept them.

Canvas Rebel featured my story, my resilience, and my philosophy.

Humans of Fuzia said: “In a world obsessed with scaling louder, Andrea Goodridge is scaling deeper.”

Author of She’ll Do It Her Way. Readers from the UK to Jamaica to New Zealand finding themselves in these pages.

Number one on Google for Significant Emotional Events for seven years. Written in 2018 with no thought of algorithms or strategy. Just something I needed to say. It found its people all on its own.

But here’s what matters most. Not the awards, not the big names. The work is someone realising in the middle of a conversation, “That’s me.” And doing something about it.

“Thank you Andrea. You’ve given me permission to do my job. My way.” Senior Leader, UK
