She’ll Do It Her Way

Something's arrived.

front

It wasn’t planned. It wasn’t structured. It definitely wasn’t done “the right way.”

It started in September 2023 as a blog post, like I’ve written for years. Then it quietly became something more.

I didn’t “write a book.”

I just listened to the secret whispers from my soul, and when something came to me, I simply wrote it down.

I stopped completely for four months when I just wasn’t feeling it. And when my energy came back, I started writing again.

She'll Do it Her Way

It’s called: She’ll Do It Her Way.

And …I truly have.

Every word, every little drawing, every decision. Mine. No coach, no ghostwriter, no editor, no designer, no “shoulds.”

Just the slow unfolding of a story that had been quietly waiting its turn.

It’s not a “how-to.” It’s a memoir spanning four decades of stories and lessons from wise souls like my Gran, Dad and many more who helped me remember who I already was.

Each chapter offers a mirror, reflecting moments you might recognise in your own life, and gentle invitations to reconnect with the ‘real you.’

At the back, you’ll find reflections from readers: parents, professionals, women, and men from all walks of life, reminding us that the search for authenticity is universal.

Family Wisdom

Way back in the 90s my Gran told me:

“You can’t be a great mum, wife, daughter, friend, neighbour, boss, etc., if you’re not a great you. It all starts with you.”

That stayed with me. It’s in every chapter.

Do you know the feeling?

If you know that feeling when you’re nodding, smiling, saying “I’m fine” for the hundredth time, while something inside whispers, “This isn’t really me.”

Maybe this book already knows you.

It’s a gentle invitation to remember who you are. To start listening again to your hidden clues: secret whispers from your soul that show up through your energy, intuition, and body’s wisdom. So you can do things your way, and shine softly from within.

It went live last Thursday on Amazon. Quietly. Softly.

I celebrated my way.

Selling my arts and crafts at a festival, then sharing a can of cider and a packet of crisps with my husband at a campsite.

Our first date? Very similar. But with a can of Coke instead. (And I don’t even like Coke!)

If this book is for you.

You’ll know.

You’ll feel it.
