"Leadership Recharge"
An urban retreat to focus on you and your well-being
Are you a leader who's been pushing yourself to the limit for years?
Is your day filled with endless meetings, high expectations, and complex challenges,
leaving you with little time to rest, recharge, and prioritise your own well-being?
Do you find it challenging to switch off from the daily distractions
and connect with yourself and the people who matter the most?
When you're running on empty, every aspect of your life suffers - your physical health, your emotional resilience, and your ability to lead with authenticty and impact.
That's why we've created the "Leadership Recharge" - an urban retreat designed to put your well-being first and transform the way you approach leadership.
Meet your Guides
Andrea Goodridge and Paul Wood will be your guides for the day. They bring a wealth of experience and a shared passion for promoting well-being in leadership. Andrea, with over two decades of experience as a leadership coach and facilitator, supports leaders to focus on leading themselves first. Paul, a former professional rugby league player, understands the pressure of high-performance environments and brings a fresh perspective on the importance of well-being in leadership.
Together, they create an engaging and welcoming space for connecting, learning, and sharing. They’ll share their personal journeys and offer practical strategies that you can immediately apply to prioritise your well-being and lead with authenticity.
“Leadership can be a lonely and overwhelming journey, but it doesn’t have to be. As a leadership coach for over 20 years, I’ve witnessed the pressure leaders face to juggle countless responsibilities, often at the expense of their own well-being.
That’s why we’ve designed the ‘Leadership Recharge.’ A unique opportunity for leaders to step back, reconnect with themselves and remember what makes them a great leader.” Andrea Goodridge
“With over 20 years working in professional sport as a player, coach, and well-being lead, I have seen the best leaders (on and off the field) are the ones that have the greatest self-awareness and are able to connect with themselves which enables them to connect with others. That deep connection within their team is the foundation for performance.
The ‘Leadership Recharge’ gives leaders the opportunity to step back, become present and refocus, which will enable them to not only perform optimally themselves but to enhance their whole team and culture.” Paul Wood
Why Choose the "Leadership Recharge?"
Imagine stepping away from your hectic schedule and taking a moment just for you.
Unlike traditional leadership development programmes, we place a strong emphasis on personal well-being as the foundation for great leadership. We believe that “you can’t be a great leader if you’re not a great you.”
The “Leadership Recharge” is a retreat with a twist. It’s all about you and your well-being, but don’t think of it as a day of relaxation at a spa. This is an urban retreat, held in a rugby stadium conference room. While the venue symbolises the high-performance environment leaders operate in every day, the retreat transforms this space into a place for reflection and rejuvenation. It’s a unique opportunity to step away from the chaos and pressures of work and life, and focus on the most important asset in your leadership journey: you!
Andrea's leadership motto.
You can't be a great leader, if you're not a great you.
"Valuable time to take stock, remember what makes you the best leader you can be, and make plans to put into practice. An action oriented, deeply reflective day with others."
"Time to spend some valuable space focusing on me! Time to network with other sectors and have meaningful conversations with other leaders."

Focus on leading yourself first. Then you'll be in a much better place to lead others with confidence.
Leadership. It all starts with you.
The two biggest ‘excuses’ my clients tell me for not making time for themselves are:
- Someone else usually needs them more
- They just haven’t got the time
They’re hesitant to put time aside for themselves, as they feel guilty. So, they plod on, thinking they’ll get round to it. But they don’t! Their diary is really busy. It’s full of back to back meetings and ‘stuff’. There’s hardly a space when something isn’t booked in.
Sometimes busyness from doing ‘stuff’ or focusing on everyone else (even when it is highly productive), can be a symptom of wanting to avoid something difficult or awkward that we don’t feel prepared for emotionally.
It means there’s no time to be present and connect with what’s really important to you. Your focus on logic and reason has taken over. But in the meantime, it’s pushed you to close down your heart and avoid connection.
Take action today and schedule in some time for yourself, rather than wait until you’re feeling run down or there’s a crisis, and you have to force it in.
